I really started programming in middle school on my TI-83+ graphing calculator. I wish I had realized then that I could
have kept building programs as a career.
I studied communications in college and emphasized in advertising. I finished an internship at a very well-known
advertising agency and began working at a digital marketing agency doing search engine optimization. After not too long,
I realized that I had more fun concepting new business ideas and building them out than I did simply promoting other
people's stuff, so I started learning programming in my spare time through various online resources. When the
opportunity arose to really focus on learning to code, I jumped at the chance.
I'm currently the lead instructor of the MEAN stack course at Coding Campus. We teach a myriad of
languages and technologies (including JavaScript, AngularJS, Node.js, Express, Mongo, Mongoose, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap) to students either looking to
improve their contributions at work or to undergo a complete career change.
